Your opportunity

As our Program Lead – Counselling and Family Mental Health Support Services, you'll provide strategic leadership, professional supervision and operational oversight of Anglicare's Shoalhaven Counselling and Shoalhaven/Dapto Family Mental Health Support Services. Leading a team of Counsellors, Case Managers and student placements, you'll foster a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic and case management services. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll maintain a small portfolio of counselling clients and complex family case management, providing specialist intervention where families require additional clinical expertise and coordinated support.

- Lead, coach and professionally supervise Counsellors, Case Managers and student placements.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative and values-driven team culture.
- Provide clinical leadership and practice guidance across counselling and case management services.
- Maintain a small clinical caseload delivering evidence-based counselling.
- Manage a portfolio of complex family case management clients.
- Undertake comprehensive psychosocial, mental health and risk assessments.
- Develop Family Support Plans and therapeutic intervention plans.
- Coordinate care across schools, NSW Health, GPs and community agencies.
- Facilitate case conferences and multidisciplinary planning meetings.
- Build referral pathways with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote services through community engagement and partnerships.
- Monitor quality, outcomes, budgets and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with funding and professional standards.
- Lead service innovation and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced clinician and inspiring leader who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for children, young people and families. You enjoy developing people, strengthening services and working collaboratively with families and partner organisations to deliver holistic, coordinated care. Most importantly, you'll demonstrate Anglicare's values of Integrity, Justice, Compassion and Excellence.

You will also need

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related discipline.
- Current registration or professional membership (AASW, PACFA, ACA, AHPRA or equivalent).




- Current NSW Driver Licence.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership and working with individuals, children, young people and families experiencing mental health concerns.
- Extensive counselling and/or family therapy experience.
- Significant complex case management experience.
- Experience completing psychosocial and risk assessments.
- Leadership experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and family-centred practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ideally, you will also have

- Experience leading Family Mental Health Support Services.
- Experience supervising students or early career practitioners.
- Knowledge of NSW child and family systems.
- Experience delivering therapeutic groups or parenting programs.
- Knowledge of quality improvement and funding compliance.
