About the role

This is a hands-on technical lead role covering dry cleaning, wet cleaning, stain removal and specialist garment care. You will help establish production standards at a brand-new facility, work closely with our operations team, and train a backup cleaning operator.

Our Loganholme facility opens in November. The start date will be agreed around your availability and our commissioning schedule, and there may be scope to start earlier to help set up the plant.

Key responsibilities

Assess fabrics, care labels, garment construction, trims and existing damage before choosing the appropriate cleaning process.

Perform specialist spotting and stain removal, including testing and recognising when further treatment could damage a garment.

Clean everyday clothing, suits, delicate fabrics, designer garments, eveningwear and bridal wear.

Operate dry-cleaning, washing and drying equipment, selecting suitable programmes, loads and chemical dosing.

Inspect cleaning results, resolve re-cleans and guide the finishing team on special handling requirements.

Help organise daily production to meet quality standards and dispatch deadlines.

Train and support a backup operator to build dependable cleaning cover.

Follow safe chemical-handling procedures and report equipment issues promptly.

About you





Strong hands-on commercial dry-cleaning experience; ideally five or more years, although demonstrated skill matters most.

Proven spotting and stain-removal ability.

Practical experience handling bridal wear, delicate fabrics and embellished garments.

Confidence working independently across dry cleaning and skilled wet cleaning.

Sound judgement about fabric compatibility, colourfastness, shrinkage and treatment risks.

Pride in workmanship, reliability and a willingness to share your knowledge.

Comfort using, or learning, digital garment tracking and production systems.
