Our client, a well-established public practice accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Accountant ready to step into a Supervisor / Junior Manager position. Reporting directly to a Manager and leading a small team, this role has been designed as a genuine pathway to Manager while allowing you to continue developing your technical expertise and client relationships.

The Opportunity

n

As Supervisor, you'll bridge the gap between Senior Accountant and Manager, combining hands-on technical delivery with people leadership responsibilities. You'll play a key role in supporting junior team members, managing workflow, and ensuring quality client outcomes.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n




- Reviewing financial statements and tax compliance work prepared by junior team members
n
- Coordinating workflow, deadlines, and team capacity
n
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
n
- Coaching and mentoring junior accountants
n
- Managing your own portfolio of client work
n
- Monitoring WIP and identifying scope or billing concerns
n
- Supporting onboarding and maintaining quality standards across the team
n

About You

n

To be successful, you'll ideally bring:

n

n
- 3-7 years' experience within public practice accounting
n
- Strong technical skills across tax and compliance
n
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards)
n
- Experience reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
n
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
n
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
n
- A genuine desire to progress into leadership and management roles
n
