MuraConnect is partnering with a leading Government organisation to identify an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to support a major ICT program. This is a long-term contract opportunity, planned through to February 2028.
You’ll provide high-level procurement, contract management and commercial support across a portfolio of technology and business initiatives, working closely with project teams, stakeholders and vendors to deliver effective procurement outcomes and strong commercial value.
The Role
As the Senior Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing procurement and contractual activities across the full lifecycle, including:
- Managing and supporting end-to-end procurement and contract activities
- Coordinating RFQs, RFTs, evaluations, contract establishment and variations
- Providing commercial and procurement advice to project teams and stakeholders
- Managing contract deliverables, milestones, renewals and extensions
- Supporting vendor negotiations and procurement planning
- Monitoring supplier performance, service levels and KPIs
- Managing procurement risks, compliance and governance requirements
- Monitoring expenditure, forecasting and financial commitments
- Preparing procurement, contract performance and governance reporting
About You
To be successful,
you will be an experienced procurement and contract management professional with strong commercial acumen and the confidence to operate across complex stakeholder and vendor environments.
You will bring:
- Strong experience across procurement, contract management or commercial services
- Demonstrated end-to-end procurement experience
- Strong understanding of contract management, supplier performance and commercial governance
- Experience interpreting contracts and managing contractual obligations
- Robust stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and commercial acumen
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly governed environment
- Government or regulated procurement experience is highly regarded
- ICT, technology, digital transformation or professional services procurement experience will be advantageous
