As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of commercial construction projects across all phases, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
You will be responsible for coordinating stakeholders, managing programme and cost, overseeing procurement and contract administration, and maintaining strong control over risk, compliance and reporting.
Based in Brisbane, you will also play a key role in establishing our Queensland delivery capability and developing relationships with local subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Manage commercial construction projects from planning through to completion and handover.
Oversee project budgets, programmes, procurement, contracts and variations.
Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams.
Proactively manage project risks, issues and stakeholder expectations.
Ensure compliance with the NCC, relevant Australian Standards, applicable Queensland work health and safety legislation, and relevant QBCC requirements.
Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, consistent reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive safety, quality and programme outcomes across all stages of delivery.
Coordinate Defence site access, security requirements, stakeholder approvals and works within occupied or operational facilities.
About you
At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
At least 5 years of experience specifically as a Project Manager delivering commercial construction projects.
Experience managing projects in the $500,000–$5 million range or above.
Demonstrated experience managing projects through the full lifecycle.
Strong working knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards, and applicable Queensland work health and safety laws.
Sound commercial acumen, including budgeting, contracts and cost control.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
A practical approach to solving problems and the ability to work with a high degree of ownership.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
An appropriate current QBCC licence authorising supervision of the relevant building work, where your duties include personal supervision and responsibility for workmanship and compliance with plans and specifications.
AGSVA Clearance is an advantage.
