Contract & Location
This is a 5-month contract role, based in Liverpool area, ASAP start for the right candidate.
Years of Experience: 4 to 6 yrs +
Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Team Coordination
- Supervising and coordinating gyprock and plaster teams across construction sites
- Planning and scheduling daily works and allocating resources effectively
- Managing team productivity and ensuring works are completed to program
- Liaising with project managers, clients and other trades to coordinate site activities
- Identifying and resolving on-site issues and challenges promptly
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet project specifications
- Ensuring all works comply with relevant building codes and company standard
- Implementing and enforcing workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a secure and professional working environment
- Ensuring equipment and tools are properly maintained and safely stored
- Project & Reporting Support
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used and labour hours
- Preparing progress reports and project documentation as required
- Supporting project stakeholders with updates on progress and site requirements
- Managing resources and materials to support project delivery
- Assisting with the successful completion of project milestones
- Team Leadership & Development
- Training and mentoring team members to support skill development
- Providing feedback, guidance and support to site teams
- Managing and motivating construction teams to achieve project outcomes
- Promoting a collaborative and professional team culture
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years' experience in gyprock and plaster work, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or Foreman role
- Strong knowledge of gyprock installation, plaster application and finishing techniques
- Proven experience managing and motivating construction team
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and construction site safety requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and project plans
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make independent decisions on site
- Current driver's licence essential
- White Card or equivalent construction induction certification essential
- First Aid Certificate preferred
- Computer literacy and familiarity with site management software preferred
- Commercial and residential construction experience preferred
- NSW construction experience ideal
