About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Mayneline Joinery Pty Ltd in Arundel, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our joinery and cabinet making projects from inception to completion. As Project Manager, you will be the central point of contact for clients, suppliers and our internal team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting the continued growth of our business.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and scheduling all project phases, including design consultation, material procurement, manufacturing and installation
- Managing project budgets, costs and timelines to ensure financial viability and on-time delivery
- Liaising with clients to understand project requirements, provide regular updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinating with our skilled tradespeople and craftspeople to ensure workmanship meets our quality standards
- Sourcing and managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring materials are ordered promptly and meet specifications
- Site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality and adherence to project schedules
- Handling project documentation,
including quotations, contracts, drawings and change orders
- Managing health and safety compliance on projects and within the workplace
- Problem-solving and implementing solutions to address project challenges or delays
- Preparing project reports and maintaining accurate records for future reference
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in project management within the carpentry, joinery or cabinet making industry (minimum 3-5 years)
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and cabinet making processes, materials and best practices
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Sound understanding of project budgeting, cost estimation and financial management
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members and suppliers
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes
- Problem‑solving ability and initiative to overcome project challenges
- Health and Safety awareness and the ability to promote safe working practices
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake site visits
- Knowledge of relevant Australian building codes and industry standards is advantageous
- Experience with AutoCAD or design software is a plus
