Senior Manager – Accounting & Business Advisory (Pathway to Director)

We are a boutique accounting practice looking for an experienced public practice accountant who is ready to move beyond simply managing the work.

This newly created role offers the opportunity to take ownership of an established client portfolio, build deeper advisory relationships, contribute directly to business growth and progressively take on greater leadership responsibility.

The role

Working closely with the Founder, you will:

Manage and grow an established portfolio of business clients.

Provide accounting, taxation, compliance and practical business advisory support.

Build robust relationships and become a trusted adviser to clients.

Take ownership of portfolio revenue, WIP, recoverability and profitability.

Identify and convert opportunities within existing client relationships.

Develop new business through referrals, professional networks and prospective clients.

Work alongside our marketing specialist on lead generation and growth initiatives.

Provide technical guidance and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice.

About you

You will bring:

CA,



CPA or equivalent professional qualification.

Significant Australian public practice accounting experience.

Strong Australian taxation and accounting knowledge.

Experience managing client relationships and a portfolio of business clients.

Commercial acumen and the ability to provide practical advice to business owners.

Experience growing client relationships and generating additional revenue.

Confidence developing new client and referral relationships.

The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.

Business advisory, networking and mentoring experience will be highly regarded.
