The role:Do you want to be part of one of the largest health infrastructure and digital transformation programs in Queensland?The Principal Project Officer plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of digital infrastructure across the Hospital Rescue Plan (HRP), associated Car Park projects and other major health capital infrastructure initiatives.Working as a shared program resource within the Digital Capital Program, you will coordinate portfolio-wide procurement and asset management activities to ensure the timely acquisition, delivery, tracking and lifecycle management of ICT hardware, software and related services. You will work closely with project teams, Digital Leads, procurement stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners to support centralised purchasing activities, maximise value for money outcomes and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.The role requires a proactive and collaborative professional who can analyse project schedules and delivery requirements, coordinate competing priorities across multiple projects, and provide expert advice on procurement planning and asset management processes.Is this opportunity for you?Reporting to the Program Director, Business Delivery, the Principal Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating procurement and asset management activities across the Digital Capital Program portfolio, ensuring alignment with established project schedules, governance requirements and organisational policies.You will demonstrate:Proven experience coordinating procurement activities within large-scale, complex ICT, infrastructure or capital delivery environments.Strong knowledge of asset management principles and the management of ICT asset lifecycles.Experience analysing project schedules, delivery milestones and procurement requirements to support successful project outcomes.Demonstrated ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, including project teams, vendors,
procurement specialists and senior management.Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects simultaneously.Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.Experience contributing to governance, reporting and continuous improvement activities within a project or program environment.An ability to identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to support procurement and delivery timelines.About the Digital Capital Program - eHealth Queensland:eHealth Queensland is one of the largest Information Communication Technology operations in the state.
