The Springfield Anglican College (TSAC) is a coeducational Kindergarten to Year 12 school with an enrolment of approximately 1200 students. TSAC is a leading independent school in the rapidly developing growth corridor of greater South West Brisbane, just 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD.

The Role

The Springfield Anglican College invites applications from exceptional educational leaders for the position of Head of Faculty – English, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

This permanent full-time leadership opportunity provides oversight of the English and Chinese teaching teams across Years 7 to 12 and is ideal for a passionate and forward-thinking educator. As Head of Faculty, you are committed to inspiring a love of language, literature, communication and you are eager to influence the academic journey of students within a thriving and innovative learning community.

As Head of Faculty - English, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the College's vision for language learning and preparing students to thrive in a global community built on communication. More than overseeing curriculum delivery, you will champion excellence in teaching and learning, foster intellectual curiosity, and empower students to become confident communicators and critical thinkers.

This role presents a unique opportunity to influence whole-school academic outcomes, whilst leading a faculty that incorporates the study of English, Literature, English and Literature Extension, and the learning of Chinese language. The role helps enhance in students the rich opportunities to develop literacy and intercultural understanding.

About You





We are seeking an experienced and inspiring educational leader who combines strong curriculum expertise with a genuine passion for building staff capability and fostering student success.

The successful candidate will possess:

- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility to obtain registration prior to commencement.
- Proven leadership experience within an English Faculty, with the capacity to lead a broader language-learning faculty that includes Chinese Language.
- A genuine appreciation of, and commitment to, the Anglican ethos and values of the College.
- Experience leading curriculum development and driving excellence in teaching, learning and student achievement.
- A strong understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices, assessment and the Australian Curriculum.
- The ability to engage, inspire and support students across Years 7 to 12.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff and families.
