We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and localgovernment as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

About the Role

The role is responsible for delivering complex sourcing and procurement activities under supervision across the Victorian Government, including strategic tendering, commercial negotiations, contract establishment and procurement reform initiatives. The position works closely with government stakeholders and suppliers to develop whole of government procurement solutions that deliver value for money, manage commercial and supply chain risks, and support the delivery of strategic digital and technology outcomes. The role also provides expert procurement and commercial advice to senior executives and contributes to continuous improvement, innovation and broader government procurement objectives.

Key Accountabilities

- Develop and implement whole-of-Victorian-Government procurement solutions that align sourcing, contract establishment and management with relevant governance and policy frameworks.
- Lead complex sourcing activities, including tenders, new procurements, contract renewals and strategic commercial engagements.
- Collaborate with category and contract managers to deliver value-for-money outcomes while identifying and managing commercial, contractual, financial, operational and supply chain risks.
- Provide timely,



expert and strategic advice to senior executives, leadership teams and departmental stakeholders on complex procurement, sourcing and commercial matters.

About You

We are seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience from the following criteria:

- Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to build stakeholder support, manage competing interests and achieve strategic procurement and commercial outcomes.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver complex sourcing and procurement activities, managing risks, governance, resources, budgets and timeframes effectively.
- Strong leadership and people management capability, including building high-performing teams, developing staff, managing performance and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to advise senior executives and suppliers, manage complexity, exercise sound judgement and develop strategic solutions.
