The heart of the role

As a Care Manager, you’ll lead with purpose - supporting your team and making a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents every day. You will support the General Manager in managing and leading the delivery of person-centred care of residents, ensuring the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation and clinical governance.

What will you do?

Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home ensuring our residents receive the best care available.





Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education.

Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes, providing solutions to reduce any risks.

Lead compliance with AN-ACC assessments.

Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents - including case conferencing with families and carers.

Fostering a strong team environment.

Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits.

Provide insights and innovative solutions for continuous clinical improvement.

Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements.

Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to provide optimal resident care.

What will you bring?

- Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA is essential.
- Post grad qualification in aged care highly regarded.
- Strong and effective leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A person-centred care mindset.
- A passion for nurturing a strong team environment.
- Ingrained passion and empathy for our residents.
- Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment and triaging skills as well as solid care planning capabilities.
- Proven and demonstrated experience in fostering a reporting culture balanced with your effective investigative skills.
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.

Bupa Aged Care is one of Australia’s largest private providers of residential aged care with over 65 homes and caring for more than 6,000 residents. At Bupa, we offer the full range of care, including respite and specialist dementia care.

Our passionate team are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day. Our homes are led by a General Manager, with Clinical Managers (Registered Nurses) to oversee our residents’ medical care. Every Bupa home has access to a Registered Nurse 24-hours a day, and they are supported by a multidisciplinary care team. Some of our homes also employ an in-house General Practitioner (GP) to provide our residents with personalised and easy to access medical care.

The addition of a GP in some of our care homes, and our expertise in dementia care are just some of the ways we commit to our ‘Person-First’ approach to care.
