We want to hear from both established English leaders and talented Year 12 English teachers who are ready to step up, lead colleagues and help shape the direction of English teaching across the Secondary School.

You’ll combine faculty leadership with active classroom teaching, giving you the chance to lead people, influence curriculum and improve student outcomes while staying connected to the part of the job you love teaching English.
The Opportunity
As English Lead you will:
Lead and coordinate the Secondary English faculty
Teach Secondary English and Literature
Provide leadership across curriculum, assessment and reporting
Mentor, support and develop teachers within the faculty
Champion engaging, differentiated and contemporary teaching practices
Contribute to teaching and learning strategy across the Secondary School
Support students academically, personally and spiritually
Work collaboratively with senior school leaders and colleagues
Participate actively in the broader life of the school, including pastoral and co-curricular activities
Who Should Apply?

Current Heads of English, English Coordinators or faculty leaders looking for their next opportunity
Strong Year 12 English teachers ready to take their first formal leadership step
Experienced English and Literature teachers with the credibility and enthusiasm to lead and mentor colleagues
Educators passionate about curriculum, contemporary teaching and improving student outcomes
Teachers who enjoy collaboration and working within a strong professional team
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong Secondary English teaching experience, including Year 12
- English and/or Literature curriculum expertise
- Existing leadership experience or the potential and desire to step into leadership
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative and people-focused approach
- Current VIT Registration
- Full Australian working rights
