As a Senior Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Deputy Commissioner, Corrective Services NSW. You'll be responsible for ensuring their work is organised, manage complex and sensitive communications, coordinate busy schedules and competing priorities, and support them in achieving business and organisational goals.

What you’ll do

- Act as a point of contact for the Deputy Commissioner, assessing and prioritising requests and taking action where appropriate while maintaining confidentiality.
- Manage the Deputy Commissioner’s calendar, appointments, records, correspondence, travel arrangements, and meetings to ensure their time is used effectively.
- Prepare and coordinate important documents, including briefings, submissions, and correspondence, to help respond to enquiries and issues.
- Research and gather information, reports, and advice on complex operational and policy matters to support decision-making.
- Review and improve administrative processes, systems, and procedures to help the team work more efficiently and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and provide reliable support while handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

What we’re looking for

- Extensive experience providing executive support to senior leaders.

- Strong experience managing correspondence and handling complex or sensitive information.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required for the role.
- Whilst flexible work arrangements are offered, the successful candidate is required to be in the office at least 3 days per week due to the core functions of the role.

We focus on hiring people who share our commitment and goals of inclusion, collaboration, adaptability, courage and integrity. If you meet the essential requirements and the role resonates with you, please apply – you do not need to meet every desired requirement for us to want to talk to you.
