About the role

The Rebelo Group is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team in Newstead, QLD. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills within a respected hospitality organisation. Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining operational excellence, and creating memorable experiences for our guests. What you'll be doing

Assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth service delivery

Supervising front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management

Maintaining high standards of customer service and addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally

Managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimise the dining experience

Monitoring inventory, stock levels, and food waste to ensure cost-effective operations

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Supporting the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotional activities

Handling cash management, processing payments, and reconciling financial records

Maintaining restaurant standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout service periods

Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and staff development programmes

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role, preferably as an Assistant Manager or similar position

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff





Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with guests and team members

Knowledge of restaurant operations, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management

Understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene compliance requirements

Customer service excellence and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with hospitality software and computer systems

Certification in hospitality management or food safety would be advantageous

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
