National Workforce is partnering with a rapidly growing food manufacturing business based in Marrickville and also assisting in Revesby to secure an elite Maintenance Fitter.
The biggest advantage of this role is total autonomy, there is absolutely no micromanagement, giving you the freedom to take the initiative and just get the job done. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to build a career where your expertise is actually respected, we need to talk.
The Nuts & Bolts:
- The Hours: A consistent 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM day shift, with flexibility to stay back and support the team when needed.
- The Overtime: Solid earning potential with an expectation to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month.
- The Growth: This isn't a dead-end job; the business is expanding rapidly and offering genuine succession pathways.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Taking the lead on critical, reactive breakdown repairs in a fast-paced FMCG setting.
- Executing general machining and fabrication, which makes up about 20-30% of your day.
- Proactively managing spare parts, planning, and preventative maintenance schedules using the MEX system.
- Inducting and supervising external contractors on site.
What You Need in Your Toolkit:
- 5 to 10 years of post-trade experience, fully trained to Australian Standards.
- A strong FMCG mindset. You need to understand high-speed manufacturing environments (like linear stand mixers) and find solutions fast.
- Because there is no electrician on site, a restricted electrical license is required (or you must be willing to obtain it within your first month).
- Current Confined Spaces and Working at Heights tickets (refresher training can be arranged if yours have lapsed).
