About the role

As Assistant Director of Midwifery, you will lead a maternity project focused on improving maternity care across Cooktown and surrounding communities.

Working collaboratively with consumers, First Nations communities, health professionals and key stakeholders, you will develop evidence-based recommendations and implementation plans.

You will help shape a contemporary, culturally safe maternity service through Birthing on Country and First Nations Midwifery Models of Care.

Salary and Benefits





- Base salary comprising between $6,336.70 - $6,643.60 per fortnight
- Employer superannuation contribution of 12.75%
- 17.5% loading on annual leave
