Our client is a growing renewable energy business operating across the solar and battery storage market, providing products and solutions to customers across Australia.
As the business continues to expand its product portfolio, they are looking for an experienced Product Manager who can help shape which products the business takes to market, how they are positioned and how effectively they meet customer and market needs.
About the Role
We're currently recruiting a Product Manager for a growing renewable energy business in Queensland. This is not a traditional R&D; Product Manager or pure procurement role - it sits at the intersection of technical product management, supplier management and go-to-market strategy.
You'll take ownership of the product portfolio across solar, battery and related technologies, working closely with manufacturers, suppliers, sales teams and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop the solar & battery product portfolio
- Understand product specifications and compatibility across inverters, panels, batteries and related products
- Work directly with suppliers and manufacturers on products, pricing and commercial requirements
- Evaluate recent products and identify future product opportunities
- Determine which product ranges should be prioritised based on market and customer requirements
- Lead new product introductions and support GTM, launches and promotions
- Translate technical product information into practical insights for the sales team
- Provide product training and support to internal sales teams
- Monitor competitors, market developments and emerging technologies
- Collaborate across Sales, Procurement and other internal functions
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of the Australian solar and/or battery market
- Experience managing technical product portfolios
- Understanding of solar/battery product specifications and compatibility
- Supplier or manufacturer management experience
- Exposure to product launches and go-to-market activities
- Commercial understanding of product pricing and market positioning
- Ability to work effectively between technical, supplier and sales teams
- Comfortable working on-site in Queensland
