We are pleased to announce an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced and innovative Head of Learning Area (English) to join the College in Term 1 2027.

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a passionate team of educators, shape curriculum direction, and contribute to the strategic vision of the College.

This is a full time (1.0 FTE) position with an eight-year fixed term as HOLA, underpinned by a permanent teaching appointment.

The Successful Applicant

- We are seeking a dynamic and visionary educator who is passionate about leading curriculum innovation and fostering a culture of academic excellence. The ideal candidate will:
- possess deep subject matter expertise in English and Literature and demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary curriculum pedagogy.
- exhibit proven leadership capabilities, including curriculum development, team collaboration and strategic planning.
- be committed to the holistic development of students, aligned with the College’s values and mission.
- possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and the wider community.
- show a deep understanding of contemporary educational practices and a willingness to embrace ongoing professional learning.

Compliance Requirements





- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
- Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
- Have or be willing to obtain Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School
