Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media and digital content? City of Darwin is looking for a Social and Digital Communications Support Officer to join our Marketing, Communications and Engagement team.

About the role

In this role, you'll support the development and delivery of digital communication activities for City of Darwin's programs, events, and services. You'll help bring our brand to life across social media, our website, and other digital channels while providing administrative support to a busy, high-performing team.

What you'll be doing

- Contributing to City of Darwin's digital marketing strategy, including website maintenance, social media management, new media campaigns, and search engine optimisation.
- Developing and implementing social media activities that keep our channels contemporary and on trend.
- Assisting with content management systems, such as Drupal.
- Writing and editing engaging copy for websites, intranet, EDMs, publications, and social media.
- Coordinating advertising bookings across traditional and digital channels
- Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of communications, marketing, and engagement activities.
- Providing administrative support to the team, including work program forecasting, financial processing, and record keeping.

About you

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

- A Certificate IV in Marketing, Communication, Digital Marketing, social media,



or an equivalent qualification and/or experience, and/or a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.
- A current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), or the ability to obtain one.
- The ability to obtain a National Police Records Check.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.

This position has a commencing base salary of $77,294 - $82,996 per annum plus 12% superannuation. As a permanent employee you also get access to our wellbeing program, employee assistance counselling program and receive 17.5% additional pay when on annual leave.
