About the role

As part of the City Access and Transport Unit, the Transport Policy Analyst position assists in the analysis, development and implementation of the City’s transport strategies, policies, plans and projects. These transport and access initiatives help to realise the outcomes in the City’s strategic plans, including Sustainable Sydney 2030 - 2050.

The successful candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience in transport policy, analysis and development.
- Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Transport Engineering, Geography, Planning or related discipline, or significant relevant experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast moving work environment, as part of an agile team.
- Demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work, Health and Safety and Cultural Diversity principles

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.

The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and a criminal history check.
