- Support technical capability across Tax Services and intersecting Business Advisory areas
- Develop and maintain a national tax technical learning curriculum aligned with the tax competency framework
- Develop and facilitate selected tax technical learning sessions using practical examples and case studies
- Review internal and external learning content for technical accuracy, currency, clarity and alignment with learning objectives
- Coordinate with service line leaders and subject matter experts to establish learning priorities and responsibilities
- Identify technical learning requirements and determine appropriate curriculum, content, facilitation or subject matter expert support
- Maintain learning materials to reflect changes in tax law, ATO guidance, relevant authorities and firm technical positions
- Monitor participation, program coverage and participant feedback to refine learning priorities, delivery methods and content
- Build and support a network of internal presenters and content contributors
- Provide regular updates to the Partner, Tax Technical on program progress, priorities and technical, delivery or resourcing risks
Requirements
- CTA, Master of Tax, or equivalent tax technical qualification
- Substantial post-qualification experience in a tax role
- Experience designing and facilitating technical training for experienced professional audiences
- Ability to manage group discussion and respond to technical questions in real time
- Strong current technical knowledge across tax
- Versatility across different areas of tax
- Judgement to identify when content requires further technical review
- Experience developing training curriculum or structured technical content from scratch
- Strong stakeholder management skills across service lines, local leaders, subject matter experts and external providers
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical material for varied audiences and experience levels
