The Lion Richlands is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Restaurant. Reporting to the Catering Manager and working closely with the Executive Chef, you will play a key role in delivering operational excellence, strong commercial performance, outstanding customer experiences, and a positive team culture. This is an exciting chance to join one of Brisbane's largest and most respected community clubs as we continue to grow and enhance our hospitality offering.
About the Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, supporting financial performance, developing your team, and maintaining compliance across all aspects of the Restaurant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating daily Restaurant operations
- Driving exceptional member and guest experiences
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Restaurant employees and supervisors
- Managing labour, rostering and workforce planning
- Monitoring service standards, cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting revenue, labour and profitability targets
- Working closely with the Restaurant Head Chef to ensure seamless service delivery
- Managing customer feedback and resolving service issues
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, WHS and Club policies
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
- Building and maintaining a positive team culture aligned with our PRIDE Values.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy Restaurant supervisory or management role
- Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
- Solid understanding of labour management, cost control and operational performance
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Current RSA and RSG Certificates (within the last 5 years)
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current Working with Children Blue Card
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain
- Availability across a 7-day roster including nights, weekends, public holidays and special event days.
