ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

In contributing to the overarching vision, the Executive Support Officer supports the City Services Directorate by providing a full range of timely, confidential, administrative and executive support.

The successful applicant will require:

- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position
- Experience in providing support and assistance to senior level staff including the provision of confidential administrative support
- High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and knowledge of record management systems (Technology One)
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, identify priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects efficiently and effectively
- Ability to handle challenges and utilise problem solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly in a team environment
- Current Class C drivers' licence

About this role:

- Permanent, full-time position
- 70 hour fortnight
- Access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement
- Located at Council's Auburn Depot, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations

Salary information:



The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.

- Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,836.08 to $2.111.49 per week, plus 12% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role

What you'll need to have for this role:

- The right to live and work in Australia
- Be able to provide information for pre-employment checks required for the position, including attending a physical pre-employment medical examination as required
- Participate in health monitoring as outlined in the risk assessment for this position and Council’s Health Monitoring Procedure, as required.
