Hindmarsh Shire Council currently has the following vacancy:

Team Leader East

Permanent Full Time

9-day fortnight

Salary commencing at $82,093 p.a. (plus superannuation)

Hindmarsh Shire Council is seeking a practical, motivated, and community-minded Team Leader East to coordinate road, civil infrastructure, depot, and maintenance activities across the municipality. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys guiding crews, solving problems on site, and seeing essential community projects delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role also encompasses administration duties and requires basic computer skills.

- Step into leadership: supervise and support a capable outdoor works team, coordinate contractors, provide clear direction and help shape daily works across roads, streets, parks, gardens and civil projects.
- Protect your work-life balance: enjoy permanent full-time employment on a 76-hour fortnight with a 9-day fortnight arrangement,



giving you regular time back while doing meaningful local government work.
- Enjoy real variety: responsibilities span road construction and maintenance, plant and equipment operations, customer requests, inspections, procurement, toolbox meetings, safety practices and continuous improvement.
- Make a visible impact: contribute to safe, reliable community infrastructure and services that residents, visitors and businesses rely on every day.

If you have strong civil construction knowledge, experience operating plant and equipment, and the confidence to lead, train and motivate a small team, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of important local works while building your leadership career with Council. - Minimum Certificate III Civil Construction (or equivalent) or less formal qualifications with relevant and demonstrable work skills.
- Detailed knowledge in the operation of all road and/or concreting plant, equipment and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate plant, labour and materials for road construction and/or concreting works, with consideration to OHS requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate small teams.
- Highly effective administration, communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, Working with Children Check and police check.
