BPA Early Learning is seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Coordinator (2IC) and Educational Leader to join our Long Day Care team at Alexandra Avenue Children’s Centre at Sunshine.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced, Diploma qualified 2IC to join our teams on Full time basis ongoing role. As 2IC, you will also take responsibility for an allocated room, leading the educational program and supporting educators to deliver meaningful, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

- Support the Centre Coordinator with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service.
- Step into additional leadership responsibilities when the Centre Coordinator is absent.
- Lead your allocated room and support educators to deliver high-quality practice.
- Develop, implement, document and evaluate children's educational programs.
- Promote children's agency, interests, strengths, culture and individual needs.
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to educators.
- Build a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture.




- Assist with staffing and rostering to support continuity of care.
- Build strong relationships with children and families.
- Support child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and compliance.
- Contribute to the service's NQS self-assessment and QIP .
- Support risk management, incident response and continuous improvement.
- Maintain effective communication with families, educators and management.

- Knowledgeable about the National Quality Framework, NQS and Early Years Learning Frameworks .
- Comfortable working collaboratively with families, educators and external professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education Care. (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA).
- High Level understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework, Education Care Services National Law and Regulations, The National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards.
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- A valid working rights to work in Australia.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
- Experience working with children with a wide range of diverse additional needs.
