We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of our accounts payable and receivable functions while supporting the organisation's financial operations and reporting requirements. About the Role
Accounts Payable
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match supplier invoices to purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Process supplier payments in accordance with agreed payment terms.
- Complete weekly and monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Manage the Payments inbox, respond to supplier enquiries, and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier account details and creditor terms within the ERP system.
- Complete month-end accounts payable activities within required deadlines.
- Monitor and report on outstanding creditor balances and ageing.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare aged debtor reports to support timely collections.
- Allocate and receipt customer payments across multiple payment methods.
- Create and maintain accurate customer accounts and master data.
- Generate customer invoices in accordance with company policies and payment terms.
- Monitor and reconcile debtor ledgers to ensure accuracy.
About You
- 2–3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable role, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience within the automotive industry is highly regarded.
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice matching, reconciliations and payment processing.
- Experience maintaining financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Experience using ERP or accounting systems (SAP experience is advantageous).
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
