About the role
Develop and facilitate age-appropriate playgroups for children aged 0–4, support parenting programs and information sessions, and provide creche services where required. You’ll also work closely with school staff, families and community services to understand local needs and shape programs that support school readiness, participation and community connection.
About you
We are looking for a warm, community-minded person who enjoys bringing people together and creating positive experiences for children and families. You are comfortable working collaboratively with schools and community networks, while also being confident taking initiative and adapting programs to meet changing needs. Your key experience will include:
- Preferred Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience developing, coordinating or delivering community programs, playgroups or family-focused activities.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Experience building positive relationships with families, schools and community networks, including people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and online systems.
- A flexible and innovative approach, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- A current Driver’s Licence.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Department of Education Clearance obtained within the past three years.
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
