Role Description The AI Security Architect will design, implement, and maintain security architectures that protect AI-driven HR platforms, data, and infrastructure. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Australian Capital Territory, Australia, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing security risks in AI and cloud environments, developing secure design patterns, and defining controls for application, network, and information security. The role involves collaborating with engineering, data, and HR technology teams to integrate security into solution design, conducting threat modeling and security reviews, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
The AI Security Architect will also monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, recommend improvements, and contribute to security policies, guidelines, and incident response readiness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Security Architecture Design, particularly for AI, cloud, and HR technology solutions.
- Strong skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, threat modeling, and security testing of APIs and web applications.
- Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including risk assessment, data protection, identity and access management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Network Security concepts and controls, such as segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity for distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, SOC 2) and relevant security tooling.
- Ability to translate complex security requirements into practical designs and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in AI/ML environments, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), or HRMS/HR tech systems is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, OSCP) are an advantage.
