Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1300 employees. About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Asset Strategy Engineer to join our team in Eagle Farm QLD on a permanent fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead Asset Planning, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s energy infrastructure can meet current and future demand by analysing capacity data, forecasting demand and developing plans to optimise the use of AGIG Group’s assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Network Capacity Management, including develop and optimise gas network designs based on customer growth
- Develop business cases for improved network design (augmentation projects) to meet all customer demands




- Assist with the development of asset life cycle, asset management plans, capital expenditure plans, and pressure surveillance strategies
- Provide input into capital expenditure plans for annual, and five yearly programs of work associated with customer growth, and mains replacement
- Develop asset strategies balancing cost, risk and performance

About You

- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in gas (or other utilities) engineering and/or operations, design, project management, or strategic planning. Gas industry experience is preferred
- Gas hydraulic modelling experience desired
- Managing key stakeholder expectations to deliver projects and activities within agreed timeframes
- Excellent analytical and forecasting skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace
