Colosseum Pizza & Ribs has been proudly operating in the Southern Highlands for over 40 years, providing quality food and great service to our local community.

We are a busy, established family business offering modern Italian-inspired pizza, ribs, pasta, salads and desserts across takeaway, delivery and our newly renovated dine in area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Manager/Pizza Maker to join our team and help lead our young, energetic staff.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in delivering great food and customer service, and has a supportive and collaborative approach to managing a team.

About the Role

Working alongside the management team, you will help oversee the smooth running of the business during service and be responsible for:

- Leading and supporting our team during busy services
- Preparing and producing high-quality pizza, ribs, pasta, salads, sides and desserts
- Overseeing pizza production and ensuring food quality and consistency
- Delegating tasks and supporting staff performance
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and workplace standards are maintained
- Providing friendly, professional customer service
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues when required
- Operating the POS system and managing cash handling and daily cash-ups
- Managing bookings and assisting with service preparation
- Opening and closing the store
- Ensuring the restaurant and kitchen are ready for service
- Working closely with management to keep the business running smoothly

About You We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in hospitality or food service,



preferably in a fast-paced environment
- A confident and positive team leader
- Supportive, approachable and able to motivate a young team
- Well organised and able to remain calm during busy periods
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Food safety conscious
- Confident using POS systems and handling cash
- Comfortable delegating tasks and taking responsibility
- Well presented, reliable and professional
- Willing to get hands-on and lead by example

Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide training to the right person. Hours & Availability

We are offering 30-38 hours per week, initially on a casual basis under the Rapid Food Industry Award. Following successful completion of the probation period, the position will transition to part-time or full time employment.

Friday and Saturday nights are essential, along with availability for an additional 2–3 evenings per week.

Some daytime hours may also be available.

You must also be available to work occasional public holidays and opening/closing shifts.

Pay: $805.28 – $1,150.40 per week
