About the role

Hunter Valley Sports and Social is seeking a Bar and Gaming Attendant to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. This role is based in Cessnock NSW 2325 and offers the perfect opportunity for individuals looking to work flexible hours in a agile, community-focused venue. As a Bar and Gaming Attendant, you will be the face of our club, providing exceptional service to our members and guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Serve beverages and prepare drinks to high standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every order
- Operate gaming machines professionally and responsibly, adhering to all relevant legislation and club policies
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service to members and guests in both the bar and gaming areas
- Maintain a clean and hygienic bar and gaming environment at all times
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Stock and organise bar supplies and gaming equipment as required
- Monitor patron behaviour and ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol practices
- Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages members to return regularly
- Assist with basic food service where required

What we're looking for

- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol/ Responsible Conduct of Gambling, (RSA/RCG) certification
- Experience in bar service or hospitality, ideally in a club or pub environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse patrons
- Proficiency in operating electronic point-of-sale systems and gaming machines
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required




- Excellent cash handling skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to responsible gaming and duty of care towards patrons
- High standards of personal hygiene and appearance
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of gaming and liquor legislation is advantageous
