About the role:

Rockmount is recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural steel manufacturing plant based in Smithfield, producing columns, rafters and beams. They need a Boilermaker who can read a drawing without needing three cups of coffee first. This is a Temp to Perm chance — you'll start on assignment through Rockmount, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment with our client.

What you'll be doing:

n

- Reading and interpreting shop drawings for columns, rafters and beams
n
- Tack welding assemblies
n
- Building fixture jigs to hold components in place for welding and assembly
n
- Oxy Cutting structural steel plate and sections to size, including weld bevel prep
n

Requirements

n

What you'll need:

n

n




- Minimum 4 years' post-trade experience in structural steel
n
- Ability to interpret shop drawings and self-check your own work
n
- Trade Qualification in Fabrication or First Class Welding (or equivalent years of proven experience)
n
