The Front of House Team Member provides friendly, professional and efficient service to every guest. The role includes welcoming customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, processing payments, maintaining clean dining areas and helping create a warm and memorable experience at Bennett’s on Bellarine.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating.
- Explain menus, daily specials, wine tastings and function packages.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Enter orders correctly into the POS system.
- Serve meals, wine and other beverages professionally.
- Check on guests and respond promptly to requests.
- Communicate dietary requirements and allergies clearly to the kitchen.
- Process payments, split bills and handle cash responsibly.
- Set, transparent and reset tables efficiently.
- Keep the dining room, bar, tasting area and outdoor spaces clean and organised.
- Assist with group bookings, functions and special events.
- Follow responsible service of alcohol requirements and venue policies.
- Help with opening, closing and end-of-shift duties.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and other FOH team members.
- Handle concerns politely and refer serious complaints to the manager.
- Follow workplace health, safety and food-hygiene procedures.





Skills and Requirements

- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
- Able to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
- Willing to learn about the venue’s food, wines and products.
- Available to work weekends, public holidays and functions as required.
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
- A valid Victorian RSA certificate is required for staff serving alcohol.

- Confirm orders to minimise mistakes.
- Never guess about allergens—always confirm with the kitchen or manager.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
- Inform the supervisor immediately about complaints, delays or service issues.
- Avoid using personal phones while working unless authorised.
- Work cooperatively and support other team members when required.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $27.00 – $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 38.0 per week
