Greenhill Manor is seeking a reliable, friendly and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team and assist our residents with transport to outings and, community activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older people and understands that providing safe and comfortable transport is an important part of supporting residents to remain active, connected and engaged in the community.

About the Role

As our Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents while providing friendly, respectful and patient assistance throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities include

- Safely transporting residents to planned outings and, community activities.
- Assisting residents to safely enter and exit the bus, including residents with mobility limitations.
- Providing appropriate assistance with walkers, wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
- Ensuring residents are safely seated and seatbelts or other required restraints are correctly used before travelling.
- Conducting basic pre-start safety checks of the vehicle.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the bus.
- Reporting vehicle faults, damage, incidents or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Following planned routes and schedules and communicating any delays or concerns.
- Working closely with Lifestyle, Nursing and other staff when coordinating resident outings.
- Maintaining residents' dignity,



privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Following Greenhill Manor's policies and procedures, including WHS, infection control and resident safety requirements.

About You We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient and genuinely enjoys interacting with older people.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

- A current Australian driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being driven (Coaster Bus).
- A safe and responsible driving history.
- Previous experience driving a bus or passenger vehicle.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, respectful and patient manner.
- The physical ability to safely assist residents with boarding and mobility equipment.
- A strong commitment to resident safety and wellbeing.
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good time management and reliability.

Previous experience in aged care, disability, community transport or passenger services would be highly regarded. The successful applicant will be required to meet all relevant aged care employment screening and compliance requirements, including a satisfactory police check and any other requirements applicable to the position.

Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 37.5 per week
