JJ Cabinet Design is looking for an experienced and qualified Cabinet Maker to join our team.

We are seeking someone who is reliable, experienced, and confident working independently in a busy cabinet-making setting. This role involves the manufacture and assembly of custom joinery, including kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, laundries, commercial joinery and other cabinetry.

Key Responsibilities The successful applicant must be able to:

1. Read and understand detailed joinery plans and drawings – this is essential.
2. Confidently operate a CNC machine.
3. Confidently operate an edge bander.
4. Confidently operate a panel saw.
5. Assemble cabinets and joinery accurately and efficiently.
6. Understand cabinet construction, measurements and machining requirements.
7. Check dimensions and finished components against plans.
8. Work independently as well as part of a team.
9. Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
10. Follow workshop procedures and workplace safety requirements.

Keep the work area and machinery clean and organised.

Requirements

Applicants must have

1. Cabinet-making qualification or substantial relevant industry experience.
2. Previous experience working in a cabinet-making/joinery workshop.
3. Strong ability to read and interpret cabinet-making plans.
4. CNC operating experience.
5. Edge bander operating experience.
6. Panel saw operating experience.
7. Strong cabinet assembly skills.
8. Valuable understanding of cabinetry construction and manufacturing processes.
9. Ability to measure accurately and identify mistakes before production or assembly.
10. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Please note: This position is for an experienced cabinet maker. Applicants must already have experience operating cabinet-making machinery and reading plans. Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
