Goodside Coffee is a coffee first company, and we're looking for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career, with a passionate and experienced team around them to help them on their way.

Based initially at our flagship cafe at 459 Collins Street, you'll take responsibility for the day to day venue while working closely with our senior team.

You'll have plenty of support and guidance, but also real responsibility and the opportunity to make the venue your own.

You might already manage a cafe, or you might be a strong Assistant Manager or Supervisor ready for the next step.

Coffee first

Great coffee is at the centre of Goodside. You'll work alongside our senior team and experienced baristas to make sure our coffee standards are delivered consistently every day.

You don't need to be the most technical coffee person in the room, but you do need to care about great coffee, great service and maintaining high standards.

Champion food, sales and customer growth

We're a new venue, and two of our biggest opportunities are building our customer base and developing a stronger food offer. We want someone who enjoys getting to know customers, building regulars and finding ways to bring new people into the venue.

You'll also help build a food offer that's as considered and consistent as our coffee, working with our suppliers and kitchen partners on menu development, presentation, pricing, margins and wastage.

You'll lead a team that engages with customers, knows the menu and confidently makes recommendations rather than simply taking orders.

Great service comes first, but we want someone who thinks about how we bring more customers through the door, keep them coming back and grow what they spend with us.

Build a solid team and venue

You'll lead from the floor,



build a reliable team and develop supervisors and senior baristas to take greater responsibility.

You'll take ownership of

- Team leadership, training and rostering
- Labour, COGS and venue performance
- Food, stock, ordering and wastage
- Customer service, sales and average spend
- Supplier communication
- Menus, POS, signage and promotions
- General venue administration
- Venue presentation and standards
- Simple systems and checklists that make everyone's job easier

We're looking for someone who notices things and follows through. If something needs updating, printing, ordering, fixing or following up, you make sure it gets done.

Where this can go

This role starts at 459 Collins Street, but we're growing, with two new Melbourne locations planned. Get Collins performing well, build a strong team around you and show us you're ready for more, and there's a genuine pathway into multi site management with Goodside.

You'll have plenty of support along the way from our senior team across coffee, operations and commercial performance.

Who we're looking for

You might currently be a Cafe Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor or a strong hospitality team member ready for more responsibility. We're looking for someone who:

- Genuinely enjoys hospitality and working with customers
- Cares about great coffee and has a real interest in food
- Enjoys building and developing a team
- Is organised and follows things through
- Notices the small things
- Is interested in sales and what makes a venue perform
- Is comfortable being hands on and leading from the floor
- Brings ideas and wants to keep learning
- Wants to take on more responsibility as they develop

You don't need to arrive knowing everything. We're much more interested in finding the right person who wants to learn, contribute and grow with us.

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + super, depending on experience.
