Salary: AUD $85,000 per annum + statutory superannuation

About the Role

n

Noor Bees Perth is seeking an experienced Apiarist / Queen Bee Breeding Specialist to manage commercial queen breeding, colony health, biosecurity and apiary operations across Western Australia.

n

Key Duties

n

n
- Manage commercial apiaries and monitor colony health and productivity.
n
- Conduct queen rearing, selective breeding and controlled mating programs.
n
- Perform instrumental/artificial insemination where required.
n
- Inspect hives and manage bee health, disease risks and biosecurity.
n
- Maintain breeding, colony and production records.
n




- Coordinate seasonal hive management, swarm prevention and honey production.
n
- Maintain beekeeping equipment and relevant farm equipment.
n
- Supervise and train apiary staff.
n
- Travel to other apiary sites within Western Australia as required.

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial beekeeping or queen breeding experience.
n
- Solid experience in queen rearing, selective breeding and colony management.
n
- Instrumental insemination experience highly regarded.
n
- Strong knowledge of bee health, pest surveillance and biosecurity.
n
- Relevant beekeeping qualification or vocational training preferred.
n
- Driver licence required or ability to obtain an Australian licence.
