About the role

We are seeking an experienced Casual Accountant to support the finance function at Dunlea Centre, working closely with the Business Manager. This is a hands-on role covering day-to-day accounting, reporting and compliance activity for the agency. Days and hours are flexible and can be negotiated with the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of financial budgets and forecasts
- Support monthly reporting to the Business Manager, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow results
- Prepare accounts and supporting documentation for statutory audit
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with the Corporations Act, and support timely lodgement of financial accounts with regulatory authorities including the ACNC and ATO
- Process and oversee invoicing for clients, lessees and service recipients
- Oversee payables input and processing
- Monitor cash flow requirements
- Provide financial analytical support to operational areas to assist decision-making
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, bankers and legal advisers as required.

About you

- Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role,



ideally within the not-for-profit or community services sector
- MYOB experience viewed favorably
- Sound understanding of accounts payable/receivable, month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Familiarity with ACNC and ATO compliance requirements advantageous
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one.
