We are currently seeking production Factory Operators on an ongoing casual basis with a view to transition into full time employment, working in our Jarrah and Ovaltine manufacturing operation.
Please note that this is a casual position working 2:30-11:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Batching, mixing and machine operation in the various work areas across production
- Trouble shooting machinery settings when required
- Setting up, starting and shutting down of machines
- Effective documentation control and ensuring production output is efficient with minimal wastage
- Quality control of products manufactured
- Maintaining health and safety standards as well as GMP processes
- General production labouring work as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise To be considered for this role, the successful candidate may have had previous experience in machine operations as well as mixing and blending (ideally 2+ years in a FMCG, food,
beverage or pharmaceutical environment), a good understanding of health and safety practices as well as GMP, willingness and ability to perform manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting up to 25kgs at times and basic computer skills. You will need a valid forklift license or willing to obtain one if successful. Whilst displaying the Twinings & Co values, the successful applicants will exhibit a can-do attitude whilst working in the various process areas across our dry mix blend manufacturing operation. With a strong desire to make a difference in your daily contribution, this role will work on average a 9-day fortnight with daily ordinary hours being 2:30pm until 11pm (afternoon shift). Overtime will be available as required.
Note that induction and initial training when starting the role may occur during the day shift 5:30am – 2:30pm.
- Ideally 2+ years in a FMCG, food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice
- Willingness and ability to perform manual handling duties
- Ability to complete repetitive lifting up to 25kgs at times
- Basic computer literacy skills
- You will need a valid forklift license or willing to obtain one if successful.
