Catering Assistant – Casual Hospitality Work | Sydney & Greater Sydney

Experienced in catering or food service and looking for casual work across Sydney?

Alseasons Hospitality Staff is recruiting experienced Catering Assistants for casual bookings across Sydney and Greater Sydney, including aged care facilities, schools, hospitals and corporate sites.

The work varies between clients, locations and shifts. We need people who are reliable, adaptable and comfortable walking into different sites and getting on with the job.

A car is not required, but having your own transport is an advantage and may give you access to more locations.

What you’ll be doing

Depending on the booking, duties may include:

- Assisting with meal preparation

- Plating and serving meals

- Basic food handling and preparation

- Preparing and clearing dining and service areas

- Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning

- Maintaining food hygiene and cleanliness standards

- Supporting the onsite catering team

- Following site-specific food safety and service procedures

- Working independently or alongside the onsite team

What you’ll need

- Previous catering, kitchen or food service experience

- Strong reliability and punctuality

- Comfortable travelling to different locations across Sydney and Greater Sydney

- Able to adapt to different clients, sites and catering duties

- Comfortable working in aged care, schools, hospitals and corporate environments

- Able to follow food safety, hygiene and site-specific procedures

- Ability to respond to shift opportunities when available

- Your own car is an advantage, but not essential

Required compliance To work across our aged care, school and other applicable sites, you’ll need:

- Valid working rights in Australia




- A current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one

If you don’t have your Police Check or WWCC yet, you can still apply. You’ll need to obtain the required clearances before we can place you into applicable shifts.

What to expect

This isn't one Catering Assistant job at one location. Different clients have different requirements.

One shift may involve meal preparation and service in aged care. Another could be kitchen support at a school, hospital or corporate site.

You need to be comfortable moving between different environments, following the booking requirements and working to the standards of each site.

Reliability matters. If you accept a shift, we need you there.
