The Prospect
Step into the world of CPFS Service Delivery North, where your work is more than just a job.
As a Child Safety Practitioner or Child Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting the safety, wellbeing and development of children, young people and families. Working across the areas of child protection, children in care and family support, you will engage with children, families, carers, communities and partner agencies to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
In this role, you will build and maintain effective relationships with families, recognising and drawing on their existing strengths while supporting them to enhance their capacity to provide safe, stable and nurturing environments for their children. You will work collaboratively with families, communities and service providers to identify needs, coordinate supports and connect families with relevant services and community resources.
You will contribute to strengthening family and community resilience, supporting sustainable change and improved social wellbeing. The role also involves responding to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children, undertaking assessments and interventions, and where required,
taking appropriate legal action in accordance with the Children and Community Services Act 2004 to promote and safeguard children's wellbeing.
For children and young people in the care of the CEO, you will contribute to planning and delivery of services that support their safety, stability and development, ensuring their individual needs are recognised and addressed.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families while working as part of a dedicated team committed to achieving lasting positive outcomes for the community.
