About the chance

Velocity Vehicle Group is continuing to grow, and this newly created Senior Procurement Specialist role offers the opportunity to build procurement capability, strengthen supplier governance and influence commercial outcomes across a national network.

n

Reporting to the CFO and Company Secretary, you will work closely with Finance, branch leaders, operational teams and external suppliers to bring structure, commercial discipline and practical procurement frameworks to a growing, multi-site business.

This role will suit a senior procurement professional who enjoys operating with autonomy, influencing senior stakeholders and turning commercial insight into practical improvements that deliver measurable value.

What you'll be doing

n

Build procurement capability

n

n
- Develop practical procurement processes, purchasing controls and supplier management frameworks that support a growing national business.
n
- Lead sourcing, tender, evaluation and negotiation activities to secure fit-for-purpose supplier arrangements.
n




- Strengthen supplier governance through consistent documentation, performance reviews and contract management practices.
n

Manage supplier and service provider outcomes

n

n
- Manage supplier and service provider relationships across procurement, facilities and operational support categories.
n
- Support branch and operational leaders with commercially sound supplier solutions across maintenance, contractor engagement, site improvements and related services.
n
- Help ensure supplier arrangements support safe, compliant, reliable and fit-for-purpose outcomes across multiple locations.

Drive commercial value and governance

n

n
- Analyse expenditure, supplier performance and market activity to identify savings, efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
n
- Provide practical procurement advice and commercial recommendations to Finance, operations and branch stakeholders.
n
- Maintain accurate supplier, procurement and contract records while supporting compliance, audit activity and risk management.
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Senior procurement, strategic sourcing or supplier management experience, ideally gained in a complex, multi-site or operational environment.
n
- Strong commercial capability, including contract negotiation, supplier performance management,



expenditure analysis and value identification.
n
- A sound understanding of procurement governance, purchasing controls, supplier risk and contract administration.
n
- Confidence influencing senior stakeholders, operational leaders and suppliers to achieve practical commercial outcomes.
n
- Experience across indirect categories such as facilities, property, contractor management, professional services or operational support would be highly regarded.
n
- Strong planning, negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and Excel skills, supported by relevant qualifications in business, commerce, finance, procurement, property, facilities management or a related discipline.
