We’re Hiring: Client Lead - Social & Content

Apparent is growing its social and content offering. We’re looking for an experienced senior agency client services lead who understands how great social work gets made, and can help build the conditions for more of it.

Make an undeniable impact with Apparent

We’re an independent agency of 200+ thinkers, creators and solution-makers. We exist for one reason: to give our clients a competitive edge. It’s why we’re trusted by global giants like Google, Optus, Vanuatu Tourism and Volkswagen, alongside iconic local brands and startups.

That edge comes from the standard we set for ourselves – the craft in every detail and the thought we put into every room we enter. We don’t settle for “good enough” because we care enough to make it great. If you’re looking for a place where your craft is respected and the ego is left at the door, you’ve found it.

It’s an exciting time to join us at our brand-new, dog-friendly HQ in Eveleigh. We believe in high standards, but never at the expense of your life outside the office. It’s a culture our team actually advocates for; 99% of our people recommend Apparent as a great place to work.

What you can look forward to:

- Extra leave: Enjoy paid Summer Days for you and Reproductive Health Leave.
- Growth and mentorship: Access to training, development, coaching and industry events.
- Progressive support: Gender-neutral paid parental leave and a commitment to genuine pay equity.
- Community impact: Opportunities to get involved in pro-bono programs and volunteer work.
- Wellbeing programs: Physical and mental health initiatives, including an EAP and RUOK? Day activities.

We’re also leaning into what’s next by actively embracing AI across our roles, using it to enhance our expertise and keep both our agency and our clients at the forefront of the industry.

We have an entrepreneurial spirit and we know the best work doesn’t always fit into neat, tidy boxes. Neither should you.

If you’re a pro at your craft (or looking for a mentor who is) and a genuine collaborator ready to deliver something undeniable, let’s talk.

The role

Working closely with the Head of Social & Content, you’ll connect client ambition with creative opportunity and practical delivery. You’ll help account teams recognise where social can add value, shape better briefs and bring the right people into projects early.

You’ll also work with Production to design and coordinate different ways of making content, from small, fast shoots and planned content sprints to larger productions drawing on the wider agency.

This is a senior, hands-on role with influence across the business. You’ll help build the offering while taking ownership of its day-to-day operation.

What you’ll do

- Build social thinking into client services. Partner with account leads to identify social and content opportunities across existing clients and new briefs.
- Join relevant kick-offs, interrogate briefs and help define the audience, objectives, deliverables and measures of success.
- Guide teams and clients on what different approaches require, including realistic budgets, timelines and approvals.

Shape how the work gets made

- Assess incoming briefs and agree the appropriate delivery approach with Social, Client Services and Production.
- Develop practical processes for lean shoots, content sprints, ongoing programmes and larger campaign productions.
- Define responsibilities and handovers so everyone knows who is making decisions and moving the work forward.
- Coordinate access to agency specialists, production resources and external partners.

Lead delivery and commercial management

- Own delivery planning for agreed social and content work streams, including scopes, estimates, schedules and resource requirements.
- Help develop proposals and identify commercially sound opportunities to grow client relationships.

Partner across the agency

- Act as a close operational and client services partner to the Head of Social & Content.
- Build robust working relationships with Client Services, Strategy, Creative, Production and Media.
- Share practical guidance and examples that help teams develop stronger social briefs and deliver them confidently.

What you’ll bring

- Minimum 7-10 years experience in a creative, social, digital or integrated agency, with responsibility for client relationships and delivery.
- Experience leading social or content projects from brief through production and delivery.
- Strong commercial judgement, including scoping, estimating, budget management and negotiating changes.
- A practical understanding of production: what a small content team can deliver, when specialist support is needed and how those choices affect cost, timing and quality.
- The ability to turn a business problem into a clear, brief and workable plan.
- Confidence advising clients and influencing senior colleagues across disciplines.
- An organised, collaborative approach and the confidence to make decisions.

Your background might include Senior Account Director, Program Manager, Project Director or a client-facing production role. We’re interested in the responsibilities you’ve held and the judgement you bring.

Experience with ongoing content programmes, creator partnerships or B2B and technology clients would be useful.

If this sounds like your sort of gig – we’d like you to get in touch.

We look forward to hearing from you,

– The team at Apparent
