Clinical & Practice Support – Part Time Casual – Zetland

Zetland, NSW | Immediate Start | Regular Part-Time Hours

We are a small, established dental practice in Zetland, conveniently located close to Sydney CBD, looking for an experienced person to join our team on a regular part-time casual basis.

This is a varied role suited to someone who is already comfortable working in a dental practice and enjoys a combination of clinical support, patient interaction and the everyday organisation of a busy practice.

We are looking for someone who wants to find a long-term position and become a valued member of our small, friendly team. Please don't apply if you are a current student.

Hours

- Wednesday: 9:30am – 4:30pm, occasionally until 5:30pm
- Thursday: 10:00am – 6:00pm, although finishing times may vary depending on appointments
- Friday: 1:00pm – 5:00pm or 6:00pm, depending on appointments

There may be an opportunity for a full-day Monday in the future. We would also appreciate someone who has some flexibility to help with additional days when required, including covering staff leave or unexpected absences, along with later hours finishing at times at 7pm.

What The Role Involves

You will work closely with the dentist and our small team, helping ensure each day runs efficiently and that our patients receive a positive experience.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting the dentist during treatments and procedures
- Preparing treatment areas and ensuring everything is ready for the day
- Cleaning, sterilisation and maintaining appropriate infection-control standards
- Supporting patients before, during and after their appointments
- Managing bookings and changes to the daily schedule




- Answering calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Taking payments and assisting with general administrative tasks
- Keeping the practice organised and well presented
- Helping resolve issues that arise throughout the day
- Taking responsibility for tasks without needing to be constantly directed

Because we are a small practice, everyone plays an important part in keeping the day running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is happy to move between different responsibilities, notice what needs to be done and use their initiative rather than waiting to be asked. A quick-learner who has had experience with dental software or similar software.

We would prefer someone who is not currently studying at university, as we are looking for a person who can commit to regular ongoing hours and is interested in a stable, long-term role.
