Permanent part time, 72 hours per fortnight An opportunity exists to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within Renal Services to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The Townsville Hospital Renal Service provides acute and chronic renal replacement therapy in a variety of settings, including incentre, satellite and home-based haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
Renal staff also provide regular education and outreach services to community groups, other staff, and family members with renal failure within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. There will be an expectation to rotate within all areas of Renal Services.

- Salary range: $57.76 to $61.85 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:
- Qualification:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
- On-call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
