? Senior Cloud Architect / Senior Cloud Engineer (Multiple Opportunities) | Long term Contract

Are you an experienced Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer with a passion for designing and delivering modern Azure-based solutions? We are seeking multiple senior professionals to support major digital transformation initiatives within a large Federal Government setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale cloud platforms, modernisation programs, and strategic technology initiatives.

? Location

- Canberra (ACT) preferred
- Remote arrangements may be considered
- 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options

? Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance

About the Role

Working within the CIO Group, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud platforms and solutions. You will collaborate with architects, developers, business analysts, scrum masters, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Design and develop enterprise-level cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure and M365

✅ Build and support cloud-native applications and platform services

✅ Provide architecture guidance and technical leadership to project teams

✅ Develop high-level and detailed solution designs

✅ Drive cloud automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices

✅ Ensure alignment with Whole-of-Government standards and enterprise architecture frameworks

✅ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative digital solutions





✅ Promote best practices in cloud security, integration, and operational excellence

✔ Integration with enterprise and third-party systems, including Dynamics 365

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years' experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions
- Strong Azure architecture and engineering expertise
- Experience working in Agile multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor team members
- Experience within Government or large enterprise environments highly regarded
- AWS or GCP experience will be viewed favourably
