Laneway Talent is partnering with the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR) to identify experienced Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to support a range of enterprise ICT initiatives across a major Federal Government technology environment.

We're seeking professionals with strong Azure and Microsoft 365 expertise who can provide technical leadership, architecture guidance and hands-on cloud engineering capability within fast-paced, multidisciplinary delivery teams.

About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in designing, building and enhancing secure, scalable cloud solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers and project teams to deliver modern cloud platforms, integration capabilities and enterprise solutions aligned with government standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and deliver Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud solutions.
- Develop enterprise and solution architectures for cloud platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.
- Support cloud automation, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
- Ensure solutions align with government and enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with business, technical and delivery teams.
- Contribute to cloud security, networking and identity management designs.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation across cloud services.

Essential Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate experience with:

- Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus and API Management.
- Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployments.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Azure networking,



security and identity management, including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and RBAC.
- Cloud integration and API-based solutions, including Dynamics 365 environments.
- Enterprise architecture, cloud solution design and technical governance.
- Working within Agile multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Engaging effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Delivering cloud solutions within complex enterprise environments.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience implementing and managing cloud technologies.

Highly Regarded

- Demonstrated technical leadership across projects and operational environments.
- Experience designing and documenting large-scale enterprise architectures.
- Application, integration or infrastructure architecture experience.
- Exposure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience operating within Federal Government environments.

Security Clearance & Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Baseline Security Clearance.

Candidates with an active security clearance will be highly regarded.
