- Contracts Officer to join our Commercial &
- Regulatory team and play a key role in managing third-party access and commercial agreements across our rail corridor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a broad range of stakeholders, solving complex challenges, and managing contracts from inception through to execution and ongoing administration.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial &
- Contracts Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a broad range of commercial agreements and access requests relating to the rail corridor. You will work collaboratively across the business to ensure agreements meet commercial, operational, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing third-party requests for access to the rail corridor.
- Drafting, coordinating, negotiating,
and administering a variety of agreements.
- Liaising with government bodies, local authorities, community organisations, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating contract approvals and maintaining contract records.
- Supporting billing and commercial administration activities.
- Working closely with internal operational, legal, risk, engineering, finance, and project teams.
- Responding to land ownership and property rights enquiries.
- Supporting the delivery of safe, commercially sound and compliant outcomes.
About You You will be a proactive and organised qualified who enjoys managing competing priorities and building strong stakeholder relationships. To Be Successful, You Will Bring
- Either: tertiary qualifications in law (preferable), business, commerce or a related field
- OR significant experience in a similar role, or contract administration or commercial environments.
- Experience in contract drafting and interpretation, or a strong willingness and ability to develop this capability.
- Strong communication, relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and time management skills.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
