Community Services #1 (CS#1) is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to provide specialist compliance leadership, assurance and practical advice across our diverse community services portfolio.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening organisational compliance, safeguarding, compliance risk management and continuous improvement across multiple service areas. Working across the organisation and with external regulators, auditors, funding bodies and accreditation agencies, you will help ensure our services meet legislative, regulatory, contractual, funding and accreditation requirements while supporting positive outcomes for the people and communities we serve.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Compliance Manager is an organisation-wide specialist role that works with managers and service teams to strengthen compliance practices and organisational accountability. The role does not have direct reports but requires the ability to influence and achieve compliance outcomes across multiple service areas.

Key responsibilities include

- Provide specialist compliance advice and practical support to managers and service teams.
- Conduct and coordinate compliance reviews, audits, investigations and monitoring activities.
- Identify, assess and report on compliance risks, trends, systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor changes to legislative, regulatory and accreditation requirements and advise services on the implications.
- Coordinate external audits, accreditation reviews, regulatory assessments and funding compliance activities.
- Develop compliance tools, procedures,



resources and education to build organisational capability and consistent practice.
- Monitor and verify corrective actions arising from audits, incidents, complaints, investigations and reviews.
- Prepare high-quality compliance, risk and assurance reports for operational, executive, governance and regulatory purposes.
- Support a culture of compliance, accountability, safeguarding, ethical practice, risk awareness and continuous improvement.

About you

You will bring

- A relevant qualification in compliance, risk, governance, quality management, business or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience.
- Significant experience coordinating or leading compliance, quality or risk activities within a complex, regulated service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulatory standards, contracts, funding agreements and accreditation requirements.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, risk, safeguarding, privacy, WHS and governance principles relevant to community or human services.
- Experience conducting audits, analysing systemic risk and driving corrective action.
- An understanding of child safety, safeguarding and reportable conduct obligations.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to exercise sound professional judgement and provide practical, risk-based advice.




- Strong coordination, documentation and record-keeping skills.

What we offer This is a full-time, ongoing role working 76 hours per fortnight. Remuneration is aligned with the SCHADS Award Level 6, plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits.

Requirements The successful applicant must hold a current driver’s licence and be able to obtain and maintain all required pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People registration. The role requires completion of mandatory organisational training and travel between CS#1 service locations. Some flexibility in working hours may occasionally be required.
